Violin

Renting a good violin is recommended for young beginners. It doesn’t make sense to buy expensive violin when your child is going to grow and have to get different size next year. Also try to avoid buying cheap violin that does have horrible sound.

Shoulder rest

Full size shoulder rest, 1/4 size shoulder rest

Music stand

Sturdy music stand maybe takes up more space and cost more, but it is much more effective.
